A number of you have been asking me “what is a pink monkey moment”. It has to do with the reticular activating system.
So I tested it and said to myself…”pink monkey”. For the next week I looked for a pink monkey to show up. I even saw a booth at the Mall of stuffed animals and asked if they had a pink monkey. The key to this is NOT to look for it….it’s suppose to just show up. Well on the 7th day I was telling my son about The Alchemist and what a great book it is. I was on my laptop and I told him I would find a review on the web that would tell him more about the book. So I googled…The Alchemist. One link said….cliff notes on The Alchemist. I clicked on the link and to my surprise….up popped a picture of a “pink monkey”. This site www.pinkmonkey.com is a site of reviews and cliff notes. I was in a state of shock to see this happen. But of course…..it was when I wasn’t looking for it and that’s how it’s suppose to work.
We decided to rename the reticular activator and call it “Pink Monkey Moments” which is the name of my upcoming book.
Many of you have since shared with me your very own “pink monkey moments” and there are so many more out there. This is what I want to share in my book….your stories.
